Hip Replacement Surgery San Antonio
Medicare Acute Care Episode
Here is your 2011 update. I am now two years past my first hip replacement and everything is working great. I cannot believe I waited so long before I went to see Dr Fox. If you are having the pain believe me that it is far worse than what you will receive post operation. I still highly reccomend Dr Fox and reccomend him to everyone I talk with. Oh the other hip to is doing great and the only reason why I had to have that one done is because I endured the pain so long it wore out my right hip.
I am also happy to say I had my other hip replaced on December 21, 2009 and I am progressing splendidly. Again Dr Fox comes through.
This website is dedicated to the Orthopedic Surgeon that accomplished my hip procedure, “Doctor David Fox” of Northeast Orthopedics in San Antonio Texas. From my initial appointment to my six week post operation appointment he and his staff were personally concerned with my welfare and relief of pain. My story actually starts, for my left pelvic injury, back in 1981 in the US Navy and a night parachute jump accident resulting in several injuries which one was a stress fracturing to my left femur. Initially I had pain in the left leg but it subsided after several months.
It was not until around 2003 when my pain in my left pelvic area started. As usual I ignored the pain for five years until it became difficult to walk without severe pain. That is when my attending physician referred me to Doctor Fox for an evaluation. He initially took a look at the x-rays that I brought of my left pelvic area and then wanted to get an x-ray of my right for comparison. I can remember his exact words, “You need a new hip”. Then he said, “Your right one is almost as bad too”. Unfortunately my bearing the pain for five years has resulted in both of them practically destroyed.
